Deficit...
The French governments figures have come out, and they're running a deficit of 45 billion Euros (about $63 billion CDN). However, this is better than the original estimate, so they are relatively happy. And we thought we had budget problems in Canada!

We are actually quite well off because at least we are running a yearly surplus. We are not paying down the principal of the debt as fast a I would like to see but we are way ahead of the curve compared to most any other industrialized country.
