New Arrivals...
Two American girls arrived at my school yesterday afternoon and it's nice to have some other English speakers on campus. They were told by the school that they would have 40 students per class, so they were quite surprised when I told them that there were actually 60 to 70 students! Needless to say the school was lying, again.

How many students were you told you would have in each class?

In Canada, that would just be putting a positive spin on it. After all, whether you have 30, 40, or 70 students in a class, you still have (at least) 30 students in your class.

We just had 4 inches of snow in Abbotsford. Rugby practice in the snow (when it was just starting) was really cool.

I was told around 30 students in my class. When I observed the classes, before I signed the contract, they showed me 35-50 students per class.
After I signed the contract, in my first class on my first day of classes, I was unpleasantly shocked to have 73 students. I asked them if they were all supposed to be there, and suggested that some of them were from another class. No, they said, this is our 'normal' class size.
