Circuit Breakers...
For at least the fifth time in two weeks and twice today, my plugs were without power and I had to get the ladies at the front of the building to reset the circuit breakers. Turns out that my plugs can't handle having my computer plugged in and the kettle running at the same time.
Should I mention to them that there's a plug outlet in my shower? How safe can that be?

The plug in the shower is to be used when the water is not hot. You stand in the shower, stick your finger in the outlet and it warms you up!

Silly me, I can't believe I didn't know that's what the plug was for!

Actually the plug in the shower has a purpose -- in some cases (from personal experience) the Chinese landlord (or your university housing authority) can install a temporary or smaller water heater directly in the shower. So, yes, the plug can have its purpose.

That's what the plug is for -there's a water heater above the "shower". You walk "through" the shower to the sink and the toilet. It's all sort of one, a "shower-sink-toilet-plug ensemble".
